Research Topic:
Calcium channels play a fundamental role in organism as they regulate essential functions like muscle contraction or synaptic transmission.
There are different type of calcium channels and they all share relatively similar sequences but their biophysical properties differ.
My project aims to study the molecular mechanism driving voltage sensitivity in L-type calcium channel, using site directed mutagenesis and electrophysiology.
