Research Topic:
Glucocorticoids inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in certain lymphocytes and lymphocyte-related malignancies leading to their therapeutic use in malignant lymphoproliferative disorders, most notably childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The responsible molecular mechanisms of GC action remain, however, elusive. Our comparative gene expression profiling study using children with ALL during initial systemic GC monotherapy and related experimental systems identified PFKFB2 and SIK1 as possible candidates. The candidate genes were functional analysed to investigate their role in GC-induced apoptosis in ALL. зеленый кофе с имбирем
